Reckless driver leaves parking lot of mayhem in his wake

Friday night proved to be just a little too much for one Kenai man. After being asked to leave the Duck Inn at Red Diamond, the 61-year-old reportedly hit several other parked cars before making it out on to Kalifornsky Beach Road.

Alaska State Troopers caught up with William Cloer at about 9 p.m. on Bridge Access Road as he drove towards Kenai in his Chevy Suburban.

According to the Trooper dispatch, the investigation revealed that Cloer rammed his vehicle into four vehicles parked in front of the Duck Inn, with the total damage estimated to be well into the thousands of dollars.

Cloer was arrested for Criminal Mischief in the 3rd degree, reckless driving, and leaving the scene of a damage only collision and remanded at Wildwood Pretrial Facility without bail.

Cloer’s Suburban was towed away from the scene of the traffic stop.
